Detailed Itinerary


Day 1: Arrival in Leh – Acclimatization

Upon arrival at Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport, you will be greeted by our representative and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome tea/coffee.

The day is reserved for rest and acclimatization. After lunch, visit Shanti Stupa and explore Leh Market in the evening.

Overnight stay: Leh (Hotel)


Day 2: Sham Valley Excursion


Distance: 140 km | Duration: 6–7 hrs

After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion to Sham Valley. Visit:

  • Hall of Fame Museum 
  • Spituk Monastery 
  • Gurdwara Pathar Sahib 
  • Magnetic Hill 
  • Confluence of Indus & Zanskar Rivers 

Continue to Alchi Village for lunch, followed by a visit to the 11th-century Alchi Monastery. Return to Leh by evening.

Overnight stay: Leh (Hotel)


Day 3: Leh to Turtuk (Nubra Valley)


Distance: 204 km | Duration: 6–7 hrs

After early breakfast, drive to Turtuk Village via Khardung La Pass. En route, visit:

  • Diskit Monastery 
  • 100-ft Maitreya Buddha 
  • Hunder Sand Dunes (Camel Ride) 

Continue to Turtuk, a scenic village near the Indo-Pak border. Arrive by evening.

Overnight stay: Turtuk (Guest House)


Day 4: Turtuk to Hunder


Distance: 82 km | Duration: 2–3 hrs

After breakfast, explore Turtuk village including its ancient mosque, traditional houses, and local culture. Later drive back to Hunder.

Check-in and relax. Enjoy a peaceful walk around the village.

Overnight stay: Hunder (Guest House)


Day 5: Hunder to Pangong Lake via Shyok Valley


Distance: 170 km | Duration: 6–7 hrs


After breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake via the scenic Shyok Valley route. En route, visit Tangtse Monastery.

Arrive at Pangong by afternoon and check into your lakeside camp. Enjoy a serene evening by the lake and witness a stunning sunset.


Overnight stay: Pangong Lake (Deluxe Camp)


Day 6: Pangong Lake to Leh via Chang La Pass


Distance: 140 km | Duration: 4–5 hrs


Early morning enjoy the sunrise at Pangong Lake, followed by breakfast. Later drive back to Leh via Chang La Pass.

En route visit:

  • Thiksey Monastery 
  • Rancho School (Druk White Lotus School) 
  • Sindhu Ghat 

Arrive in Leh by evening and explore the local market.


Overnight stay: Leh (Karma Lodge)


Day 7: Departure from Leh


After early breakfast, transfer to the airport for your onward journey.

  Spituk Monastery (also known as Spituk Gompa) is one of the most prominent and historically significant Buddhist monasteries in Ladakh. Located about 8 km from Leh, it stands dramatically on a hill overlooking the Indus River, offering panoramic views of the valley and surrounding mountains. Spituk is especially known for its ancient origins, its association with the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism, and its famous annual Gustor festival. Spituk Monastery was founded in the 11th century by Od-de, the elder brother of Lha Lama Changchub Od. It was initially established as a Kadampa monastery.

Matho Monastery

  Matho Monastery (also spelled Mato Gompa) is one of the most distinctive and culturally significant monasteries in Ladakh, located about 26 km southeast of Leh across the Indus River. Perched on a hill in the Indus Valley, Matho is especially famous for its unique oracle festival and its affiliation with the Sakya school of Tibetan Buddhism. Matho Monastery was founded in the early 15th century (around 1410) by Lama Dugpa Dorje. It is the only monastery in Ladakh belonging to the Sakya sect of Tibetan Buddhism, which makes it particularly important in the region’s religious landscape.
