Ladakh is one of those rare destinations where every season tells a completely different story. The monsoon barely grazes it, the winters are ferociously cold, and the summers are a brief, blazing window of pure magic. Knowing when to go will transform your trip.
The Peak Season: June to September
This is when Ladakh comes alive. The Manali–Leh and Srinagar–Leh highways are open, temperatures hover between 15°C and 30°C during the day, and the sky is an impossible shade of deep blue. Almost all monasteries, homestays, and trekking routes are accessible.
